PLATE-CLUTCH 20R2815 - Caterpillar

(1) On machines with open ROPS, remove seat group (1) and plates (2), (3), (4) and (5). Remove cover (6) tool box (7) and channels (8) from each side of the machine. These parts will not be needed again. On machines with an enclosed ROPS, remove seat group (9), channels (10) from each side, cover (11), plate (12) and the hardware. These parts will not be needed again. (2) On machines with an enclosed ROPS the parts that follow must be removed before the backhoe can be operated. These parts must be kept so they can be installed if the machine is operated with the backhoe removed from the tractor. Remove rear window (13) and panel (14). Remove cab pressurizer filter and housing group (15) as a unit. (3) If the machine is equipped with an attachment lighting group, remove cover (16), rear lamp (17) and bracket (18). Install 5G2335 Plate (19), 5G2336 Tool Box Assembly (20) and 5G2392 Seat Assembly (21).5G2987 Heat Shield Group; 5G2988 Assist Handle Group
(1) Install 5G2986 Shield (1) on hydraulic tank (2) with two 1H8296 Screws. Install four 5G1132 Handles (3) on the back of the ROPS with S1620 Bolts and 5P1076 Washers.Assembly Of Backhoe
(1) Fasten a hoist to frame assembly (1) [approximate weight 915 kg (2000 lbs.)]. Disconnect hose (2) from tube (3). Disconnect hose (4) from tube (5). Connect hose (2) to tube (5); connect hose (4) to tube (3). Put frame (1) in position on brackets (6) and install two pins (7). (2) Connect boom (8) [approximate weight 415 kg (915 lbs.)] to swing frame (9) with two 6S8699 Pins (10), two 1D4569 Bolts (11) and 2H3788 Nuts. Connect boom cylinder (12) to frame (9) with a 6S6139 Pin, 1D4572 Bolt and 2H3788 Nut. Connect a stabilizer (13) to each side of frame (1) with pin (14), 2B7092 Spacer, S1595 Bolt and 4B4280 Washer. Connect stabilizer cylinder (15) to frame (1) with 6S6490 Pin (16), 1B2886 Bolt and 2H3788 Nut. Install a 5G2943 Step (17) on each cylinder (15) with four S509 Bolts and 5P1075 Washers. (3) Connect stick assembly (18) [approximate weight 165 kg (345 lbs.)] to boom (8) with 5G2697 Pin (19), 1B2886 Bolt (20) and 2H3788 Nut. Install 3G5771 Stick Cylinder Group (20) [approximate weight 54 kg (120 lbs.)] with 5G1512 Pin (21), 5G2696 Pin (22), 1B2886 Bolts (23) and 2H3788 Nuts. Install 307972 Elbows (24) and (25) on the boom. Install 9M4584 Connectors (26) and (27) with 2M9780 Seals in cylinder (20). Connect 5G2022 Hose Assembly (28) to elbow (24) and connector (26). Connect 6S4236 Hose Assembly (29) to elbow (25) and connector (27). (4) Install 3G5905 Bucket Cylinder Group (30) [approximate weight 52 kg (115.0 lbs.)] on stick (18) with a 5G2696 Pin, a 1B2886 Bolt and 2H3788 Nut. Install bucket (31) [approximate weight 124 kg (275 lbs.)] on stick (18) with 6S4349 Pin (32), two 4J805 Washers and two 3B4647 Cotter Pins.
