Pull the spade terminal (socket) for wire 450 from the lug on the hour meter.
Install the spade-type terminal (socket) for wire 450 on the 197-2004 Harness Assembly to the spade-type lug on the hour meter.
Connect the wires 450-socket to wire 450-plug from the machine harness. Tape the mated connection with electrical tape.
Reinstall the batteries. Then, reconnect the batteries.Setup of the Machine Security System
Set up the Product Identification Number of the machine, date and time, and bypass schedule as described in Service Manual, RENR2462, "Machine Security System (MSS)"
Enter the machine's Product Identification Number according to the Product Identification Number - Program section of Service Manual, RENR2462, "Machine Security System (MSS)".
Set the current date, time, and the time zone according to the Time - Set section of Service Manual, RENR2462, "Machine Security System (MSS)".
Set the bypass schedule according to the System Disarm - Program - Security System Bypass section of Service Manual, RENR2462, "Machine Security System (MSS)".Operational Check
Place a valid electronic key in the key start switch.
Turn the electronic key to the ON position until the green LED indicator illuminates.
Turn the key to the START position. The machine should start.
Turn the key to the OFF position.
Turn the disconnect switch to the OFF position.
Reassemble all of the remaining parts and covers.
Turn the disconnect switch to the ON position.
Attach the Special Instruction, RMHS1002, "Operation of the Machine Security System (MSS)" of the correct language to the machine's Operation and Maintenance Manual with the double sided tape that is provided.
Attach the "Machine Security System" film on the door of the machine or on the ROPS near the "mount and dismount" location of the operator.Final Assembly
Follow operating procedures to add additional keys and configure the system.
Install the 7K-1181 Cable Straps in order to secure the retrofit harness to the machine harness. Check for pinch points and clearance from moving parts.
Assemble the instrument panel. Replace the covers for the machine.Troubleshooting
The machine fails to start
The machine fails to start and the Indicator light does not Illuminate
Verify that all connections are tight.Check the indicator light.The machine fails to start and the Indicator light Remains Red
The indicator is red for five seconds after attempting to start the machine. This indicates one of the following problems:
The key in the key start switch is not authorized for that machine. Refer to the Service Manual, RENR2462, "Machine Security System (MSS), Key - Program".
