Start By:
Connect the steering frame lock.

Position Tooling (A) under boom assembly (1) to support boom assembly (1) at a height of approximately 533 mm (21.0 inch).
Tilt the bucket forward until the bucket tips are resting firmly on the ground.
Release the system pressure. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "System Pressure - Release".

Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to bucket link (2). The weight of bucket link (2) is approximately 544 kg (1200 lb).

Attach Tooling (C) and a suitable lifting device to pin assembly (3). The weight of Tooling (C) is approximately 163 kg (360 lb).Note: For additional information, refer to Special Instruction, "A Secondary Method for Removing Sleeve Bearing Cartridge Pins on Certain Large Wheel Loader Linkage".
Remove bolts (5) and the washers. Remove plate (4). Use Tooling (C) to remove pin assembly (3). The weight of pin assembly (3) is approximately 64 kg (140 lb).

Use Tooling (B) and the suitable device to lower bucket link (3). Remove Tooling (B) and the suitable lifting device.
Repeat Steps 4 through 7 for the remaining pin assembly.

Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to bucket (6). The weight of bucket (6) is approximately 10260 kg (22620 lb).

Remove bolts (7) and the washers. Remove retainer plate (8) and shims (9) (not shown). Repeat this step for the opposite side of the pin assembly.

Remove plug (10) and the O-ring seal. Remove shims (11) and spacer (12). Use Tooling (D) to remove retainer (13).
Attach Tooling (F) to the port where plug (10) was removed.
Steps 13.a through 13.e are for the assembly of Tooling (E).

(E1) Puller Stud
(E2) Nut

(E6) Sleeve Assembly
Install Puller Stud (E1) into pin assembly (14) (not shown).Note: Be sure that the threads of Puller Stud (E1) are fully engaged into pin assembly (14) to a depth of approximately 55 mm (2.2 inch).
Use a suitable lifting device to install Sleeve Assembly (E6) onto Puller Stud (E1). The weight of Sleeve Assembly (E6) is approximately 57 kg (125 lb).
Use a suitable lifting device to install Cylinder Assembly (E4) onto Puller Stud (E1). The weight of Cylinder Assembly (E4) is approximately 57 kg (125 lb).
Install Bushing (E3) onto Puller Stud (E1).
Install Hard Washers (E5) and Nuts (E2) onto Puller Stud (E1).
Use Tooling (F) to apply 69 MPa (10000 psi) grease pressure to pin assembly (14).
Observe the pressure gage on Tooling (F) and apply more grease as the pressure drops. The pressure will usually drop at least twice before holding at 69 MPa (10000 psi). When the pressure holds steady at 69 MPa (10000 psi), proceed to Step 16.

Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (E). The weight of Tooling (E) is approximately 136 kg (300 lb). Use Tooling (E) to loosen pin assembly (14) (not shown) from the press fit. Do not remove pin assembly (14) at this time.
Use the suitable lifting device to remove Tooling (E). Remove four pins (15) (not shown).Note: Fully removing one pin assembly (14) may
