The 815F Soil Compactor hydraulic system is made up of two basic systems. The two basic systems are the pilot hydraulic system and the main hydraulic system.The pilot system includes the following components: pilot/brake pump (5), Hydraulic tank (9), pressure reducing valve (12), selector and pressure control valve (14), Implement lockout valve (15) and pilot valve (16) The main components of the main hydraulic system are implement pump (6), main relief valve (3), main control valve (4), hydraulic tank (9) and lift cylinder (1) .Pilot Hydraulic System
Pilot/brake pump (5) draws oil from hydraulic oil tank (9). Pilot/brake pump (5) provides oil to the brake system and to the pilot system.The pilot oil flows through pressure reducing valve (12). From the output of pressure reducing valve (12), the pilot oil flows in two directions. The oil flows in one direction to the hand metering unit of the steering system. In the other direction, oil flows into selector and pressure control valve (14) through check valve (13). Check valve (13) is in between pressure reducing valve (12) and selector and pressure control valve (14). Check valve (13) is used in order to stop the flow of oil back through the pilot system when the engine is not running and lift cylinder (1) is under a load. Selector and pressure control valve (14) receives oil from pressure reducing valve (12) at the inlet port. Selector and pressure control valve (14) receives oil from the head end of lift cylinder (1) or the rod end of lift cylinder (1) to the other inlet port.Reference: For more information about the selector and pressure control valve, refer to the Systems Operation, "Selector and Pressure Control Valve (Pilot)" for the machine that is being serviced.

The oil flow will stop at the valve when the Implement lockout valve (15) is in the LOCKED position. When theImplement lockout lever is moved to the UNLOCKED position, pilot oil will flow to pilot valve (16).
