.Description of Change: The new pumps provide greater resistance to corrosion, which will help stabilize the integrity of the shaft.Adaptable To: The new 376-9995 Shaft, 378-8520 Washer and 388-7069 Bolt can be installed in the former 304-4957 Auxiliary Sea Water Pump Gp and in the 10R-3765 Auxiliary Sea Water Pump Gp during a pump rebuild. The new 388-7069 Bolt and 378-8520 Washer require a torque-turn installation procedure. The torque-turn procedure can be found in the Disassembly and Assembly, "Auxiliary Water Pump - Assemble" procedure for the engine application. Only apply the torque-turn installation procedure if using the new 388-7069 Bolt and 378-8520 Washer .Table 1 lists the new parts for the new pumps.Note: A new Cat pump and a Reman pump are available and can be ordered to fit on current engines.
