Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
1)Before any test, check the tightening torque of the reverse fan motor valves according the image 1.1.1 as the torque may have an impact on fan motor speed.
Left valve should be tightened to 48 N.m and right valve should be tightened to 62 N.m

2) With engine speed set at 1800 rpm, check that the fan motor is reversing when commanded by the button in the cab. Check also that it is going to maximum fan speed in reverse direction (more than 1500 rpm)
3) Check fan speed calibration in standard fan direction. Check that minimum and maximum fan speed can be reached. values are different between the models and will be shown during calibration through ET.
4) if any of the previous tests fail, please replace the fan motor. The required seals and tightening torque are shown on image 1.2.1.
The fan motor mounting bolts on the cooling door need to be tightened to 100 N.m.
The fan adapter nut on fan motor shaft need to be tightened to 60 N.m.
Install the straps as shown on image 1.2.1 to attach the electrical harness on solenoids.

5) Perform the fan motor calibration through ET
6) Check that the fan is reversing when commanded by the button in the cab. Check also that it is going to maximum fan speed in reverse direction (more than 1500 rpm)
