Removal Procedure
Start By:
Install the truck body retaining pins.

Remove bolts (1), cover (2), and the gasket.

Remove hose assemblies (3). Remove bolts (4) in order to remove relief valve (5).

Remove relief valve (6). Installation Procedure
Install relief valve (6) in the reverse order of removal. Disassembly Procedure

Remove the relief valve.

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Remove cap (5), spring (4), spacers (3), and valve (2) from body (1). Assembly Procedure

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install valve (2), spacers (3), spring (4), and cap (5) into body (1). Tighten cap (5) to a torque of 85 10 N m (63 7 lb ft). End By:
Install the relief valve.
