Start By:a. remove equalizer bar padsb. remove track roller frame (left or right) Block (1) was installed when the track roller frame was removed.1. Use Tool (A) and raise the track roller frame until block (1) can be removed.2. Fasten a hoist to the end of the equalizer bar from which the track roller frame was removed. 3. Remove bolt (3), two bolts (2) and plate (4) from the equalizer bar center pin.
Typical Example4. Install Tooling (B) between the front of the equalizer bar and the equalizer bar front saddle. This will prevent movement of the front saddle when the equalizer bar center pin is removed. 5. Install Tooling (C) on the equalizer bar center pin as shown.6. Use Tooling (C) and pull the pin out of the equalizer bar saddle approximately 89 mm (3.5 in).7. Remove Tooling (B) and the spacer between the front of the equalizer bar and the equalizer bar front saddle. 8. Put Tooling (E) in position under pin (5) as shown.9. Use Tooling (D) and pull pin (5) out of the equalizer bar and on Tooling (E).10. Use the hoist and lower the end of the equalizer bar to the ground.11. Remove the spacers between the bar and the equalizer bar saddle. 12. Fasten a hoist to the other end of the equalizer bar.13. Loosen two bolts (6). Remove the snap ring and spacer from the equalizer bar end pin.14. Install Tooling (F) as shown. Fasten a hoist to Tooling (F).15. Use Tooling (F) and remove the equalizer bar end pin.16. Use the hoist and lower the equalizer bar to the ground. Remove the equalizer bar from under the machine. The weight of the equalizer bar is 771 kg (1700 lb).Install Equalizer Bar (8ZR)
The side of the equalizer bar marked front must be toward the front of the machine when the equalizer bar is installed.1. Put the equalizer bar in position under the machine.2. Fasten a hoist to the end of the equalizer bar, align the end of the equalizer bar with the track roller frame.3. Use Tool (G) and install equalizer bar end pin (7). Install the spacer and the retaining ring on the pin.4. Tighten bolts (6) to a torque of 1825 175 N m (1340 130 lb ft).4a. Use a flat bar to ensure that the front seal (inner ring) is in the neutral position. The larger diameter spacer must be installed between the equalizer bar and the equalizer bar rear saddle. The smaller diameter spacer must be installed between the equalizer bar and the equalizer bar front saddle.5. Put the spacers in position on each side of the equalizer bar.6. Fasten a hoist to the free end of the equalizer bar. Use the hoist and raise the equalizer bar. Align the equalizer bar with the hole in the equalizer bar saddle.7. Put equalizer bar center pin (5) in position in the equalizer bar saddle.8. Use Tooling (H) to install the equalizer bar center pin until it is
