Introduction
The transmission output speed sensor is generating a diagnostic code 191-2 "Transmission Speed Sensor - Erratic, Intermittent, or Incorrect" during start-up and initial running. This fault code is then being logged by the machine ECM and transmitted over product link. In some instances working speed sensors have been replaced because of this falsely logged diagnostic code.Solution
New machine software is available for Backhoe Loader machine and includes the following changes:
Removal of transmission speed sensor self-diagnostics, preventing false diagnostic codes being raised and logged.
Low engine oil pressure event code E360 de-bounce increased to 20 seconds, allowing the engine enough time to raise oil pressure to the required level before monitoring for low oil pressure events.
Machine Security System lockout time-out has been removed to prevent undesirable machine lockout.
Improved transmission shift points on the 428 and 434 machines.
