Position boom assembly (1) on Tooling (A) .

Disconnect harness assembly (2) . Disconnect hose assembly (3) .

Disconnect hose assembly (4) from the head end of the stick cylinder.

Position suitable cribbing (x) under the head end of boom cylinder (6) .
Attach a suitable lifting device to stick cylinder (5) . The weight of stick cylinder (5) is approximately 91 kg (200 lb). Reposition pin (7) . Remove stick cylinder (5) .Note: Remove pin (7) far enough in order to remove the head end of stick cylinder (5) . Pin (7) needs to support the head end of the boom cylinder when stick cylinder (5) is removed.

Disconnect harness assembly (8) . Disconnect hose assemblies (9) .

Remove hooks (10) . Disconnect cable (11) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to boom cylinder (6) . The weight of boom cylinder (6) is approximately 115 kg (255 lb). Remove pin (7) . Remove pin (12) . Remove boom cylinder (6) .

Disconnect hose assemblies (13) that are routed to the boom.

Disconnect harness assembly (14) that is routed to the boom.

Install pin (7) and the retaining rings. Install pin assembly (16) . Install bracket (15) in order to secure pin assembly (16) .
Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to boom (1) . The weight of boom (1) is approximately 455 kg (1000 lb).
Remove bolt (17) and pin (18) . Repeat for the other side.
Remove boom (1) .

Use Tooling (C) in order to remove bearings (19) .

Install the boom in the reverse order of removal.
Lower the temperature of bearings (20) . Use Tooling (E) in order to install bearings (20) .
Lower the temperature of bearings (19) . Use Tooling (E) in order to install bearings (20) .
