Problem
The contour seat needs to be repaired on certain D5H, D6H, D7H, D8N, D9N and D10N Track Type Tractors; D20D, D250, D300D, D40D, and D400D Articulated Trucks; 963 and 973 Track Loaders; 936F, 950F, 966F, and 980F Wheel Loaders; and on machines where replacement seats have been installed.

Parts Stock
Follow Steps 1 below for the suspension repair and 2 below for the seat back adjustment repair.
Affected Product
Remove the seat and suspension from the machine. Take off the seat-upper, then:
1. Follow the instructions with the 8L6860 Spring Kit for removing and installing the new springs, guide bushings (these guides are white in color), and rods (longer than the rods that were removed) in the suspension group.2. Follow the instructions included with the 8Y5999 Adjuster Kit for installation in the seat-upper. (Use the 9U6613 Spring Compressor Tool.)Service Claim Allowances
Parts Stock
This is a 3 hour job per seat. Submit one claim for all Parts Stock seat reworked. If customer has a replacement seat that needs to be reworked, submit the repair as a Parts Stock claim.
