Parking brake lever
(1) Parking brake lever
(2) Release lever for the parking brake lock The parking brake lever is located on the right side of the seat. Pull the parking brake lever (1) upward in order to engage the parking brake. Depress the release lever (2) and push the parking brake lever downward in order to disengage the parking brake.The parking brake is located between the drive shaft and the rear axle. The braking force is manually actuated with a lever and a cable assembly.

(8) Brake linings The caliper (7) is bolted to the rear axle. The brake disc (3) is attached to the pinion in the rear axle. The brake disc (3) rotates within the caliper (7).When the parking brake is engaged, the cable (4) pulls on lever (6). The lever (6) rotates. The lever (6) is attached to a cam which forces the brake linings (8) against the brake disc (3).When the parking brake is disengaged, the spring (5) assists the cable (4) and the cable (4) returns the lever (5) to the disengaged position. This action releases the brake linings (8) from the brake disc (3).
