Information:

40. Remove the outer race of bearing (39) from drive shaft housing (34). 41. Use Tool (O) to remove seal (42) from drive shaft housing (34). 42. Use Tool (B) and a press to remove ring (43) and the outer race of bearing (38) from drive shaft housing (34). The following steps are for the assembly of the swing drive.43. Make sure all parts of the swing drive are thoroughly clean prior to assembly.44. Check the condition of all parts of the swing drive. If any of the parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. 45. Install washer (41) and ring (40) on drive shaft (28). Fill the cavity in ring (40) with 5P-0960 Multipurpose Grease. For installation purpose, heat bearing (39). Install the bearing on drive shaft (28). Make sure the bearing is seated properly. Use of a press may be required to seat the bearing. 46. Install ring (43) and the outer race of bearing (38) in drive shaft housing (34). Make sure magnet (44) is clean. 47. Install the outer race of bearing (39) in drive shaft housing (34). 48. Install shaft (28), bearing (38), and spacer (37) in drive shaft housing (34). A press may be required to properly seat bearing (38). 49. Install collar (35) on shaft (28).50. Repeat Step 31, Step 32, and Step 33 to temporarily install drive shaft housing (34) in the machine. 51. Use Tool (L) and Tool (M) to tighten collar (35) to a torque of 2000 230 N m (1470 170 lb ft). Make sure the swing lock pin is engaged prior to tightening the collar. Refer to the Operation & Maintenance Manual for the proper procedure.52. For the purpose of establishing the rolling torque of drive shaft (28) use Tool (L) and Tool (M) to adjust tightness of collar (35).53. Repeat Step 35 to remove drive shaft housing (34) from the machine. The rolling torque of drive shaft (28) must be between 22 to 29 N m (16 to 21 lb ft).54. Put drive shaft housing (34) in a soft jawed vise as shown.55. Use Tool (L) and Tool (Q) to turn collar (35) on drive shaft (28) to obtain the rolling torque measurement.56. To tighten or loosen collar (35) for adjustment of the rolling torque, temporarily install the drive shaft housing in the machine. 57. Use a hammer and a punch to indent around the circumference of collar (35) between the splines on drive shaft (28) at five equally spaced locations as shown. 58. Use Tool (B), Tool (P) and a press to install seal (42) in drive shaft housing (34) as shown. 59. Install new O-ring seal (36) on drive shaft housing (34). 60. Fasten gear housing (1) to Tool (A) as shown. 61. Fasten Tool (K) to the threaded holes in drive shaft housing (34). Attach a hoist to Tool (K). Install the drive shaft housing on the gear housing as shown. Remove the hoist and the tooling
