To prevent injury, do not exceed the rated load capacity of the machine. If the machine is not on level ground, load capacities will vary.
Short slings will prevent excessive load swing. There may be local government regulations about the use of excavators for the lifting of heavy objects. Please observe those regulations.

Illustration 18The lift capacity decreases as the distance from the swing centerline increases. Rotate the upper frame by 90 degrees relative to the undercarriage when the machine is working in a stationary application. This will evenly load the swing bearing.
