This information is applicable to the units that are manufactured by Caterpillar.* A complete AE40 Series II Underground Articulated Truck weighs approximately 42 700 kg (93 940 lb).2. Connect the steering frame lock to hold the front and rear frames rigid before lifting the machine.3. For lifting objects, use properly rated cables and properly rated slings. Position the crane for a level machine lift.4. Spreader bar widths should be sufficient to prevent contact with the machine.5. Use each side of the front axle housing and the rear axle housing for tie-downs. Use the front hole and the rear hold that are provided for tie-downs.Check the appropriate laws that govern the weight of the load.
