4 1 166-4375 Seal Gp Use the following procedure in order to install the seal group:
Only use clean water or P-80 to lubricate the parts.
The seal installation tool is part of the replacement seal group.
1. Use seal installation tool with hand pressure to install the rubber seal (2) and the ceramic ring (3) as a unit into the pump housing assembly.
2. Remove the spring from the seal group.
3. Use the seal installation tool with hand pressure to install the seal group onto the shaft until the seal faces make light contact.
4. Install the spring onto the seal group.
B - - Clearance between the impeller and the water pump cover is 0.5000 0.4925 mm (0.01968 0.01939 inch).
C - - Distance from the impeller to the face of the pump housing assembly is 31.6526 0.4425 mm (1.24616 0.01742 inch).
5 1 149-5462 O-Ring Seal Before assembly, lightly lubricate the bore with glycerin or an approved equivalent.
6 1 212-8180 Pump Drive Shaft As Lubricate with a thin film of clean engine oil before pressing the impeller onto the shaft. The end of the shaft must be flush with the face of the impeller within 0.00 to 0.30 mm (0.000 to 0.012 inch).
7 1 5H-6734 O-Ring Seal Before assembly, lightly lubricate the bore with glycerin or an approved equivalent.
8 4 0S-1594 Bolt Torque to 35 5 N m (26 4 lb ft).
9 1 3D-2824 O-Ring Seal Before assembly, lightly lubricate the bore with glycerin or an approved equivalent.
10 1 7G-8478 Adapter Torque to 100 10 N m (75 7 lb ft).
