Illustration 15 g06081784Note: Do not latch the hood once cable assembly (28) is disconnected from hood latch assembly (27). Hood latch assembly (27) is not accessible when the hood is closed.
Disconnect cable assembly (28) from hood latch assembly (27).
Illustration 16 g06081792Note: The temporary piece of wire will unlatch the hood if the hood is shut during the removal of the canopy.
Connect a temporary piece of wire to hood latch assembly (27).

Disconnect sending unit (28).
Use Tooling (A) to remove storage box (30). The weight of storage box (30) is approximately 54 kg (120 lb). Remove bolts (29) and storage box (30).

Cut the cable strap and disconnect harness assembly (31).

Disconnect ground strap (32).
Remove nuts (33).

Disconnect cable assemblies (35) from cover assembly (34).

Disconnect harness assembly (36). Remove bolt (37) and reposition shifter rod assembly (38).

Disconnect three rod assemblies (39) .

Disconnect hose assemblies (40), (41), (42), and (43).

Disconnect hose assemblies (44) and (45) from valve assembly (46).

Disconnect harness assemblies (47) and (49) from roof assembly (48).

Remove bolts (50) and roof assembly (48).

Attach a suitable lifting device to canopy (51). The weight of canopy (51) is approximately 590 kg (1300 lb).
Remove nuts (52), nuts (53) and canopy (51).Installation Procedure
Install canopy (51) in the reverse order of removal.
