Move the transmission control to NEUTRAL position.Engage the parking brake switch.Diesel engine exhaust contains products of combustion. These products can be harmful to your health. Always start the engine and always operate the engine in a ventilated area. If you are in an enclosed area, vent the exhaust to the outside.Check for the presence of bystanders or maintenance personnel. Ensure that all personnel are clear of the machine.Confirm the Information Display screen shows acceptable fluid levels of the engine oil and power train oil. Once the Information Display screen shows Check, press OK and sound the horn before you start the engine.
