Remove bolts (1) and cover (2).Note: The nitrogen oxide sensor box is located in the horn well.

Remove bolts (3). Disconnect harness assembly (4) from the nitrogen oxide sensor control unit.

Remove cable straps (5) that secure the harness assembly.

Remove bolts (6) that secure duct cover (7).

Use Tooling (A) to remove nitrogen oxide sensor (9).Installation Procedure

Keep protective covering (10) on nitrogen oxide sensor (9).

Route nitrogen oxide sensor (9) through the horn ducting.

Use Tooling (A) to install nitrogen oxide sensor (9).Tighten nitrogen oxide sensor (9) to a torque of 50 10 N m (37 7 lb ft).Note: Ensure that there is a 180 degree relief loop in the nitrogen oxide sensor harness prior to securing the harness.

Secure the harness assemblies with cable strap (8).

Secure the nitrogen oxide sensor harness to the side of the horn well with cable straps (5).

Secure the nitrogen oxide sensor control unit with bolts (3). Connect harness assembly (4) to the nitrogen oxide sensor control unit.
Secure the excess harness inside the electrical box with the nitrogen oxide sensor control unit.

Install cover (2) and bolts (1) .
