PLATE 2M3975 - Caterpillar

1. Remove eight bolts.2. Remove guard (1). 3. Loosen four bolts (2).4. Loosen jam nut (3).5. Loosen adjusting nut (4). 6. Loosen setscrew (5) on bearing (9).7. Loosen setscrew (7) on bearing (10).8. Attach lifting device to support sheave assembly (6).9. Pull the shaft out of sheave through air box. Aside sheave assembly (6).10. Remove two bolts (8) and two bolts (11).11. Remove pillow block bearing (8) and (10). Check the bearings for wear or damage. Replace if necessary. For installation of the fan drive bearings, reverse the removal steps.Fan Drive Assembly & Sheave (3208T Engine B)
1. Remove eight bolts.2. Remove guard (1). 3. Remove four bolts (2). 4. Remove four bolts (3).5. Remove fan drive assembly (4).6. Remove the bolts that hold the lower sheave. Remove the shaft that holds the sheave to the plate.7. Remove the sheave. Check the bearings for wear or damage. Replace if necessary. For installation of the fan drive assembly & sheave, reverse the removal steps.
