Certain 0R9848 Remanufactured Fuel Transfer Pumps need to be removed from dealer Parts Stock and returned to Caterpillar Inc.
Action Required
Inspect all 0R9848 Remanufactured Fuel Transfer Pumps in dealer Parts Stock for date codes of June 14, 2000 or earlier.
The date code can be located below the part name and above the part number on part number tag attached to the box.The date code is formatted as DDMMYYXXXExample: a box marked with a date code of 150195068 would indicate a part manufactured on January 15, 1995 at plant number 068).
If the date code is June 14, 2000 or prior to that date, open the package and determine if the 0R9848 Remanufactured Fuel Transfer Pump has been painted. All pumps with these date codes that are painted yellow need to be returned to Caterpillar Inc. 0R9848 Remanufactured Fuel Transfer Pumps which have not been painted can be returned to dealer stock. If the date code is June 15, 2000 or later no action is required.

Submit one claim for all 0R9848 Remanufactured Fuel Transfer Pumps removed from Parts Stock.

Return all 0R9848 Remanufactured Fuel Transfer Pumps that are removed from Parts Stock and a copy of the claim to:
