PLATE GP-HEAT EXCHANGER 3005623 - Caterpillar

1. Drain the torque converter.2. Remove the air cleaner assembly and mounting bracket as a unit.3. Disconnect air lines from fitting at engine front support. Remove the air lines to horn and brake foot valve.4. Label and disconnect wiring from starter.5. Disconnect wiring from the oil pressure gauge sending unit at oil cooler.6. Disconnect the governor control linkage at the left rear of engine.7. Remove the tachometer drive cable. Disconnect air line from air pressure gauge.8. Disconnect fuel supply line at right rear of engine. Disconnect wire from fuel shutoff solenoid.9. Disconnect water temperature sending unit from timing gear cover.10. Remove the engine rear mounting nuts. The engine rear mounting bolts can not be removed with the exhaust manifolds installed. 11. Position a jack under the torque converter for support. Remove the torque converter-to-flywheel housing mounting bolts.12. Disconnect air compressor air supply line from fitting at bottom front of engine. 13. Attach a hoist to the engine and remove the engine front support mounting bracket. Remove the engine - weight 1350 lbs. (615 kg).Install Engine
1. Attach a hoist and position engine in machine. 2. Install the torque converter-to-flywheel housing mounting bolts. Install the engine front support mounting bracket.3. Install engine rear mounting nuts and tighten to 75 10 lb. ft. (10,4 1,4 mkg).4. Connect air compressor air supply line to fitting at bottom front of engine.5. Connect water temperature sending unit to timing gear cover.6. Connect wire to fuel shutoff solenoid. Connect fuel supply line at right rear of engine.7. Connect air line to air pressure gauge. Install the tachometer drive cable.8. Connect governor control linkage at left rear of engine.9. Connect wiring to oil pressure gauge sending unit at oil cooler.10. Connect wiring to starter.11. Install air lines to horn and brake foot valve. Connect air lines to fitting at engine front support. 12. Install the air cleaner assembly and mounting bracket.13. Fill transmission with same amount of oil removed from torque converter. Check oil level after starting engine.concluding step: a) install radiator and guard assembly
