Tilt down the cab.Test
Start the engine. Increase the engine speed to 1500 rpm with the engine speed potentiometer. Turn the machine speed potentiometer to 0.

IQAN Screen (Current settings to the proportional solenoids on the power train pump)Note: Ensure that the minimum current of the drive loop is set to 170 mA. If the minimum current is set higher than 170 mA, the drive loop pressure will increase too fast for the test procedure.Note: The current settings of the power train pump are locked at the factory. A PC that is equipped with IQANtalk software must be used to unlock these current settings for adjustment.
Move the direction selector switch to the FORWARD position.
Depress the accelerator pedal halfway.
Very slowly turn the machine speed potentiometer until the pressure reading of the drive loop reaches 3000 kPa (435 psi). This indicates that the power train pump has begun to upstroke.
When the power train pump begins to upstroke, record the stroking pressure.Note: The stroking pressure should be between 200 to 300 kPa (29 to 44 psi).
Release the accelerator pedal.
Move the direction selector switch to the REVERSE position. Repeat Step 3 through 6.Note: The difference between the two stroking pressures should not be more than 20 kPa (3 psi). If the difference is more than 20 kPa (3 psi), the neutral position of the power train pump is not set correctly.
Stop the engine.
Use the following steps in order to tilt the fuel tank:

Location of Fuel Tank (10) Valve handle. (11) Lifting point. (12) Drain plug. (13) Bolts.
It may be difficult to tilt the fuel tank if the fuel tank is full. It may be necessary to drain the fuel tank before you tilt the fuel tank. Remove drain plug (12) and allow the fuel to drain into a suitable container.
Remove two bolts (13) on the side of the tank.
Valve handle (10) for the vacuum pump (if equipped) may obstruct the fuel tank during tilting. Move the valve handle upward.
Insert a pry bar into lifting point (11). Use the pry bar to tilt the fuel tank.

Move rod (15) into position in order to keep the fuel tank from falling down. Chain (14) will keep the fuel tank from tilting too far.
Disengage the transmission gearbox. Disengage the transmission gearbox on 554 Forwarders. Perform Step 11 for 554 Forwarders.Disconnect the wire connector on the gearshift valve for 574 Forwarders. Perform Step 12 for 574 Forwarders.

Pull the bottom of release lever (16) to the left.
