Position the machine on level ground and stop the engine.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release"
.

Cab floor - main control valve compartment
(1) Pressure tap for main relief P1 (Bucket, Boom, and Left Travel)
(2) Pressure tap for main relief P2 (Right Travel, Stick, Swing boom, and Auxiliary)
(3) Pressure tap for main relief P3 (Blade, and Swing)
(4) Main control valve
Attach a 34,450 kPa (5,000 psi) pressure sensor (B2) to the appropriate pressure tap on the main control valve (4).Test Procedure
Start the engine.
Place the engine speed control to the HIGH idle position.
Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 50° 10°C (122° 18°F).
Place the hydraulic activation control lever in the UNLOCKED position.
Move the joystick or lever for full retraction or extension of the cylinder and HOLD in this position. Refer to Table 1 for the appropriate function for each relief valve.
Check the pressure reading for the main relief valve pressure setting. Refer to Table 1 for the appropriate relief valve.
Return the joystick or lever to the NEUTRAL position.
If the pressure is not within the specification, refer to "Adjustment Procedure (P1)" for the appropriate relief valve.Pressure Drop Check
The pressure drop should be checked for each individual circuit. The pressure drop should not exceed 10 percent of the relief valve specification for the circuit being tested.
Start the engine.
Place the engine speed at high idle.
Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 50° 10°C (122° 18°F).
Move the joystick or lever for full retraction or extension of the cylinder and HOLD in this position. Refer to Table 1 for the appropriate function for each relief valve.
Quickly reduce the engine speed from HIGH idle to LOW idle.
Check the pressure reading. Refer to Table 1 for the correct pressure drop range for each valve.
Return the joystick or lever to the NEUTRAL position.
Repeat steps 1 to 7 to test each hydraulic circuit.The pressure drop should not exceed 10 percent of the rated pressure.Adjustment Procedure (P1)
