Start By:
Remove the tilt cylinder.
Remove the bucket.
Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.
When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death.

Raise lift arms (1) and secure with Tooling (A). Attach a suitable lifting device to the rod end of lift cylinder (3). The weight of lift cylinder (3) is approximately 57 kg (125 lb). Remove pin assembly (2). Use the suitable lifting device to lower the rod end of lift cylinder (3) away from lift arms (1). Repeat for the other side.

Disconnect hose assemblies (4) and (5) from each side of the machine.

Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to lift arms (1). The weight of lift arms (1) is approximately 318 kg (700 lb).

Remove bolts (6) and the retaining plate. Use two people to remove pin (7). The weight of pin (7) is approximately 24kg (52 lb). Remove lift arms (1).Note: Note the number and the location of the shims for assembly purposes.

Use Tooling (C) to remove bearings (8).Installation Procedure
Install lift arms (1) in the reverse order of removal.
Lower the temperature of bearings (8). Use Tooling (C) to install bearings (8).
