Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the flexible exhaust pipe between DOC and the SCR. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Flexible Exhaust Pipe - Remove and Install (Flexible Exhaust Pipe Between DOC and the SCR)" for the correct procedure.
Remove the flexible exhaust pipe from the turbocharger and the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Flexible Exhaust Pipe - Remove and Install (Flexible Exhaust Pipe from the Turbocharger and the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC))" for the correct procedure.
Remove the Diesel Emission Fluid (DEF) injector. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "DEF Injector and Mounting - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.

Attach a suitable lifting device onto Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) (1).
Remove bolts (4), bolts (5) from DOC (1). Support the DOC as the bolts are removed.
Use the suitable lifting device to remove DOC (1) from bracket (6).
If necessary, remove split bushing (3) from bracket (6).
If necessary, remove bracket (6). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Support and Mounting (CEM) - Remove and Install (Top Mounted DOC)" for the correct procedure. Installation Procedure
Ensure that the DOC and the brackets are free from wear or damage. Replace any component that is worn or damaged.

If necessary, install bracket (6). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Support and Mounting (CEM) - Remove and Install (Top Mounted DOC)" for the correct procedure.
If necessary, install split bushing (3) to bracket (6). Install the split bushing so that DOC (1) can be installed.
Attach a suitable lifting device onto DOC (1).
Use the suitable lifting device to position DOC (1) onto bracket (6).
Install bolts (4), bolts (5) to DOC (1). Tighten the bolts hand tight. Support the DOC as the bolts are installed.
Tighten bolts (4) and bolts (5) to a torque of 25 N m (221 lb in).
If a new DOC has been installed, go to the electronic service tool and select the "Service" menu, then "Oxidation Catalyst Replacement Reset". End By:
Install the flexible exhaust pipe between DOC and the SCR. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Flexible Exhaust Pipe - Remove and Install (Flexible Exhaust Pipe Between DOC and the SCR)" for the correct procedure.
Install the flexible exhaust pipe from the turbocharger and the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Flexible Exhaust Pipe - Remove and Install (Flexible Exhaust Pipe from the Turbocharger and the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC))" for the correct procedure.
Install the Diesel Emission Fluid (DEF) injector. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "DEF Injector and Mounting - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
