Move propel lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Rotate speed dial (4) to the MINIMUM position.
Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.
Move propel mode switch (3) to the PAVE position.Note: The machine must be in PAVE mode in order to operate the screed lift system.

Move screed lift switch (5) to the FLOAT position. Allow the screed to lower to the ground.Note: The screed lift switch on both instrument panels must be in the FLOAT position in order for the screed to lower.
After the screed rests on the ground, move screed lift switch (5) to the HOLD position.

Move throttle control switch (6) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.

After the engine reaches low idle, move engine start switch (7) to the OFF position.
Assemble two sets of Tool (A) and two sets of Tool (B). Connect one Tool (A) to each Tool (B) .

Disconnect hydraulic line (8) and hydraulic line (9) from the auger motor. Cap port (10) with Tool (C). Cap port (11) with Tool (C). Plug fitting on hydraulic line (8) with Tool (D). Plug fitting on hydraulic line (9) with Tool (D) .

Open access panel (12) on the right side of the machine.

Connect Tool (B) to the forward pressure tap in port "MD" (13) .

Connect Tool (B) to the reverse pressure tap in port "C" (14) .
Move screed lift switch (5) to the HOLD position.
Move engine start switch (7) to the START position. Release the engine start switch when the engine starts.
Operate the engine at low idle for a few minutes.
Move throttle control switch (6) to the HIGH IDLE position twice. For each switch actuation, hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second. The engine speed should increase to 2200 rpm.

Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature on the operator display. Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 43 5.6 °C (110 10 °F).

Move left auger switch (15) to the MANUAL position. Hold the switch in this position.
Record the pressure at the forward pressure tap in port "MD" (13). The pressure should be 37200 2100 kPa (5000 300 psi).
Move left auger switch (15) to the AUTOMATIC position.
Move auger reverse switch (16) to the LEFT position.
Record the pressure at the reverse pressure tap in port "C" (14). The pressure should be 37200 2100 kPa (5000 300 psi).
Release auger reverse switch (16) .
Move left auger switch (15) to the OFF position.
Move throttle control switch (6) to the LOW IDLE position. Hold the switch in this position for less than 1 second.
After the engine reaches low idle, move engine start switch (7) to the OFF position.
If the forward pressure and the reverse pressure are both within the specified range, the system is operating within design parameters. Go to Step 32. If either the forward pressure or the reverse pressure
