Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Clean the lower radiator tank with soapy water and apply Tooling (C) .

Install a new seal (11) on the lower radiator tank .

Apply Tooling (C) to the bottom of radiator core (10) .

Use Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device in order to install radiator core (10). The weight of radiator core (10) is approximately 20 kg (45 lb).

Install spacer (8) and retainer (9). Install bolts (5) .
Connect hoses (7). Tighten clamps (6) .

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device onto panel assembly (1). The weight of panel assembly (1) is approximately 66 kg (145 lb).
Position panel assembly (1) in order to connect harness assembly (3). Install cable strap (4) .

Lower panel assembly (1) and install bolts (2) .
Remove Tooling (A) .
