Connect one Tool (A2) to Tool (A3).
Connect each Tool (A3) to Tool (A1).Test Preparation
Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

Move propel lever (4) to the NEUTRAL position.
Press parking brake switch (5) to change the status of the parking brake to "engaged". When the parking brake status is "engaged", an LED next to the parking brake switch will be illuminated.
Use travel mode switch (3) to select the pave mode. When the travel mode is set to pave, an LED next to pave symbol (2) will be illuminated.Note: The machine must be in pave mode to operate the screed lift system, hopper system, tow point system, and auger lift system.
Press and hold screed raise switch (1). Release the switch when the screed is raised fully.

Engage service lock lever (6) on each side of the machine.

Use screed float switch (7) to place the screed in the FLOAT position. When the screed is in the FLOAT position, an LED next to the screed float switch will illuminate. Allow the tow arms to rest on the screed service locks.

Examine the display. If "Regen Conditions Not Met" warning (8) is shown and the banner is yellow, allow the engine to operate until the regeneration cycle is complete. The cycle may require up to 1 hour to complete. If the warning banner is red, use Cat® ET to complete a regeneration cycle as soon as possible. If no engine regeneration warning is shown, go to the next step.

Press and hold push to start switch (9). Release the switch when the engine stops.

Move machine power switch (10) to the OFF position.

Connect Tool (A2) to brake pressure tap (12).Test Procedure

Rotate locking wheel (14) fully counterclockwise. Rotate needle valve (13) fully clockwise.
Use manual brake release pump (15) to pressurize the brake release lines to approximately 2500 kPa (363 psi).
Observe pressure on Tool (A) for 2 minutes. The pressure should not decrease by more than 1034 kPa (150 psi).
Rotate needle valve (13) fully counterclockwise to release the pressure in the brake lines.
Tighten lock ring (14).
If the pressure test was unable to reach or maintain 2000 kPa (290 psi), and the final drive is not contaminated with hydraulic oil. Repair or replace the needle valve or hand pump.
If the pressure test was unable to reach or maintain 2000 kPa (290 psi), and the final drive is contaminated with hydraulic oil. Repair the brake seals.
If the pressure test performs satisfactorily but the final drives are contaminated with hydraulic oil. The motor shaft seal and the final drive seal may be damaged.
Disconnect Tool (A2) from brake pressure tap (12).
Close compartment door (11). Secure the door with the latch.
