ACTION REQUIRED
Inspect the existing precleaner on the machine.
If the machine is equipped with a precleaner that fits the precleaner description for Image 1 and Image 2, then replacement of the existing precleaner is not needed.
If the machine is equipped with a precleaner that fits the precleaner description for Image 3, then replace the existing precleaner.
Refer to the info below on the description of the precleaners.
The 232-3583 Precleaner that is not experiencing the noise will have a base with rounded corners as shown in Image 1.
The improved 488-3907 Precleaner has a base with square corners and is labeled with the 488-3907 part number on the bottom of the base as shown in Image 2.
The 232-3583 Precleaner with the unacceptable level of noise, has a base with square corners and contains no part number identification as shown in Image 3.
