1. Remove cotter pin and pin from governor control linkage (1). Disconnect governor control linkage and move it away from the fuel injection lines. 2. Remove eight bolts (2) and nuts, then remove sub assembly (3). 3. Remove bolts (4), then remove air pipe (5) from aftercooler and right turbocharger. Remove bolts (6) that hold fuel lines to aftercooler. 4. Loosen fuel line nuts (9) and (8) from valve cover bases and fuel injection pump housing. Remove fuel injection lines (7). Do the same for left side.5. Use 5F2807 Caps or 2F2990 Plugs in all fuel openings.Install Fuel Injection Lines
1. Make sure fuel injection lines are clean and dry. 2. Put fuel injection lines (1) in position on the fuel injection pump housing and the valve cover bases. Tighten all fuel line nuts to a torque of 40 7 N m (30 5 lb ft) with tool (A). 3. Connect fuel injection lines (1) to the aftercooler with the bolts that hold it. Make a replacement of O-ring seals (3) if necessary. Make a replacement of air pipe gasket if necessary.4. Install air pipe (2) on right turbocharger and aftercooler. Install the four bolts that hold air pipe (2) to the aftercooler. 5. Install support assembly (4) with the eight bolts and nuts that hold it. 6. Connect governor control linkage (5) to the governor with the pin and cotter pin that holds it. If replacement lines are installed, always remove the metal identification tags so vibration of the tags will not cause damage to fuel lines.
