Information:

120G Motor Grader
... The shoes at the front of the circle have been moved to a different position so the studs for the circle drive housing are not used to hold the shoes. A common fastener was formerly used. This caused high stress loads on the shoes and failure of the stud and/or circle drive housing was possible.
... The shoes at both the front and rear of the circle can now be adjusted. Formerly, adjustment to only the rear shoes was possible.
... The connector between the drawbars to which the drawbolt (ballstud) is installed is not used on the new drawbar. On the new drawbars, there is a stud welded to the front to which the ball is bolted. This design gives more clearance for the scarifier.
... The yoke plate has been made stronger by adding more metal to the front of the plate across the full width of the drawbar. The stronger yoke plate will have more resistance to bending.
... The heat treatment procedure for the circle has been changed to give a harder metal. With a harder metal there is less wear of the circle teeth where they contact the guides.
130G and 140G Motor Graders
... The new drawbar group used on the 140G has six shoes (formerly had four) and is available as an attachment for the 130G Motor Grader. This new drawbar group is heavier, has more strength and support for the circle and moldboard, and will give better performance in all applications. If desired, two shoes can be added to earlier 130G and 140G Motor Graders.
14G and 16G Motor Graders
... These machines now have a drawbar group with six circle shoes which can be adjusted. All six shoes are machined on the horizontal surface that makes contact with the circle. The former drawbar used four shoes which can be adjusted and two shoes that can not be adjusted. The new shoes with the machined wear surface can be used on earlier machines as a direct replacement for the shoes you can adjust. With the new drawbar group, adjustment soon after the machine is put to work is not necessary as it was when the former drawbar group was used.
Adaptable As: Shown in the chart that follows: INSTALLATION:
120G Motor Grader
... The 2G6810 Drawbar can be installed on earlier machines (82V1-up, 87V1-up) by cutting off the drawbar mounting flange on the front bolster and installing a 2G6831 Flange in its place. The new flange is necessary because of the larger ball used on the new drawbar.
... The new circle assembly, directly replaces the former circle assembly.
... To install shoes at the front of the circle which can be adjusted and/or reinforcement plates to the front of the yoke plate on the drawbar, see Special Instruction Form No. SMHS6850-01.
130G and 140G Motor Graders
To install additional shoes see Special Instruction Form No. SMHS6850-01.
14G and 16G Motor Graders
The new shoes with machined wear surfaces can be used as a direct replacement for the shoes which can be adjusted on
