Introduction
The former 1P6502 Air Register has been discontinued. A new 9C1916 Louver can be used to replace 1P6502 Air Register. This instruction provides the information necessary to install the new 9C1916 Louver in place of 1P6502 Air Register.Do not perform any procedure, outlined in this publication, or order any parts until you read and understand the information contained within.Necessary Parts
Installation Instructions
Typical Example.1. Remove two 1P6502 Air Register (1) and mounting hardware [(spring (2), clamp (3), washers (4) and nuts (5)].
Typical Example.2. Position 3E9374 Plate-Adapter (6) over the existing openings. Using the plate-adapter as a template, mark the locations of the new holes and the area where metal needs to be removed to provide clearance for the new 9C1916 Louver (7).3. Drill the rivet holes and trim away metal as marked.4. Install 3E9374 Plate-Adapter (6) with four 337291 Pop-Rivets (8).5. Install 9C1916 Louver (7) in the 3E9374 Plate-Adapter (6).
