Sudden movement or accidental starting of the machine can cause personal injury or death to persons on or near the machine.To prevent personal injury or death, perform the following:Park the machine on a smooth, level surface.Lower the work tool to the ground and engage the parking brake.Stop the engine and remove the key.Block the wheels and install the steering frame lock.
The solenoid for the pilot control actuator controls pilot oil in order to move the main control valve spool. The solenoid receives a current from the implement electronic control module (ECM). With the implement control levers in the HOLD position, the solenoids should not receive enough current in order to move the stems in the main control valve.
Connect the steering frame lock link.
Turn the key start switch to the OFF position.
Disconnect the solenoid from the harness at the solenoid connector.
Install a jumper wire to the No. 2 terminal of each connector.
Connect the positive probe of the digital multimeter to the No. 1 terminal on the harness connector.
Connect the negative probe of the digital multimeter to the No. 1 terminal on the solenoid connector.
Turn the key start switch to the ON position.
Set the digital multimeter to measure DC current. The maximum current to the solenoid is 2 amps.
