For installation instructions, refer to the Service Manual and appropriate Special Instruction listed.Refer to Chart C and Chart D for parts information of the current Payload Measurement Control (PMC) and Payload Operating Display (POD) groups. The PMC and POD groups are also adaptable to first production on thewheel loader models listed.
Use of the Radix printer system with the WLPMS is recommended. Payload Measurement System Calibration Information
Three methods of calibrating the WLPMS are provided in the Service Manual. The methods are as follows:
1. Calibration using a solid calibration weight.2. Calibration using a bucket load of material, weighed on truck scales.3. Calibration using a bucket load of material, weighed using an empty truck with a known weight.The following calibration information for WLPMS pertains to methods two and three. These methods do not use a known calibration weight.
Procedure For Calibration
Observe the necessary procedures and precautions provided in the service manuals when performing this calibration.1. Weigh the truck when empty.2. Perform the emptybucket calibration, using the On The Go (OTG) and stationary methods.3. Perform the loaded bucket calibration, using the OTG and stationary methods.4. Dump the material from the bucket into the empty weighed truck without moving the lift arms. Record the weight on the truck using the scales.5. Adjust the payload measurement system display to read weight of material and then adjust the switch to the NORMAL position.
