Move the machine to a smooth, horizontal location that is away from operating machines and away from personnel.
Place the transmission direction in the NEUTRAL position.
Engage the parking brake. Place wheel blocks in front of the wheels and behind the wheels.
Lower the bucket or the work tool to the ground.
Stop the engine.

Install the steering frame lock.

Typical Example
Start the machine and position the lift arms on tooling (B).
Stop the engine.
Relieve the pressure in the hydraulic system. Reference: For more information about relieving the hydraulic pressure, refer to the Service Manual module Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release" for the machine that is being serviced.Reference: For more information about preparing the machine for Testing and Adjusting, refer to the Service Manual module Testing and Adjusting, "Machine Preparation for Testing and Adjusting" for the machine that is being serviced.Test Procedure
Permit only one operator on the machine. Keep all other personnel away from the machine or in sight of the operator.
Relieve the pressure in the hydraulic system. Reference: For more information about relieving the hydraulic pressure, refer to the Service Manual module Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release" for the machine that is being serviced.

Front guard
Ensure that the engine start switch is in the OFF position. Remove the front guard in order to access the main control valve.

Main Control Valve

(2) Pressure compensator valve
Install tooling (A) on test port (1) of the main control valve. The pressure can also be checked at the test port on the pressure compensator valve (3). Refer to specification Table 1 or 2 for the specific test port being checked.
Start the engine and warm the hydraulic oil to a normal operating temperature of approximately 49 to 65°C (120 to 150°F).
Run the engine at high idle.
Raise the lift arms off tooling (B).
To initiate a stall condition, move the joystick to the full dump or full rack position and hold.
Record the pressure indicated on tooling (A) then release the joystick to the HOLD position. Refer to Table 1 or Table 2 for the correct pressure specification.
Reduce the engine speed to low idle.
Position the lift arms on tooling (B).
Turn the engine key switch to the OFF position.
Release the hydraulic pressure. Refer to the Service Manual module Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release". Note: The maximum system pressure is determined by the load sense relief valve setting and the pump margin setting. The implement pump pressure cutoff setting, when set correctly, is set higher than the load sense relief pressure.
If the pressure is correct, proceed to step 14. If the pressure is not correct, perform
