Change air cleaner element. 1. Remove the cup assembly and baffle assembly. 2. Remove the wing nut and slide the filter assembly out. 3. Clean the inside of the air cleaner housing with a clean cloth.4. Place the new filter in the air cleaner and reassemble the air cleaner.Radiator coolant change.
Allow the radiator to cool before attempting to check or change the radiator coolant. Attempting maintenance on a hot radiator could cause severe burns.
At operating temperature, the engine coolant is hot and under pressure.
Steam can cause personal injury.Check the coolant level only after the engine has been stopped and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.Remove the till cap slowly to relieve pressure.Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes to prevent personal injury. 1. Open the petcock at the bottom of the radiator and allow fluid to drain.2. After the fluid has drained, close the petcock. 3. Open the fill cap at the top of the radiator and add a mixture of 50% water and 50% anti-freeze until the coolant lies approximately 15mm (.62 in.) below the top of the fill tube.4. Replace the fill cap.Fuel tank change.Where combustible materials or explosive atmosphers exist, never light matches, smoke, create sparks, or use open flames. Personal injury or death may result from explosion or fire.
Take extreme care to insure the cleanliness of diesel fuel. Keep fuel clean to extend component life and assure maximum performance.
1. Remove the drain plug located in bottom of fuel tank.
The fuel tank contains approximately 121L. (32 gal.) of diesel fuel.
2. After allowing the fuel tank to completely drain, replace the drain plug. 3. Refill the fuel tank with clean, filtered diesel fuel.
