Diagnostic lamp - right side of operator station panelThe feeder diagnostic lamp is located on the operator station panel. This lamp is the primary indication to the operator or technician that there is a problem with the conveyor system. When the feeder diagnostic lamp is ON, the ECM has diagnostic information available. Check For Active Codes
Start troubleshooting the Conveyor Electronic Control System by operating the machine and checking for functional problems.
Observe the feeder diagnostic lamp on the operator station panel.
If the feeder diagnostic lamp is ON, diagnostic information is available. Proceed to Step 3.
If the feeder diagnostic lamp is OFF, diagnostic information is not available. Resume normal machine operation.
If the feeder diagnostic lamp was ON for a short period of time and then turned OFF, diagnostic information is available, however, the code is not active at this time. At the ECM display, enter service mode 1. Record the inactive diagnostic code that was issued, then clear the code. The problem was probably caused by a condition of the machine operation that has been corrected. If the same code becomes active again, perform the troubleshooting procedure for the code that is in the "Diagnostic Code Procedures" section in this manual.
Stop the machine. Go to the conveyor ECM and observe the readout.
If the readout shows a "P01", "P02" or "P03" code, then an operator error has been recorded. Refer to Troubleshooting, "Error Codes". If "P - -" is dispalyed on the ECM display, no operator error codes exist.
If the diagnostic code present indicator on the ECM display is ON, a diagnostic code for the conveyor electrical system is active. Enter service mode 1. Observe the CID FMI code. Perform the diagnostic procedure that is listed in the "Diagnostic Code Procedures" section in this manual for the active code.
