18. Run the Transmission Fill Calibration:
Refer to Images1.42.1 and 1.42.2.
- In ET, select Service > Calibrations
- Scroll down to Powertrain ECM
- Select 'Transmission Fill Calibration'
- Follow on-screen prompts

If Transmission Fill Calibration routine PASSES WITH or FAILS to calibrate:
- Any valve that shows Completion Status as FAILURE ?AND- Pulse Time is at maximum limit shall be removed from the transmission and replaced with a new valve.
- All old valves or new valves that fail or pass with warnings must be returned to Caterpillar. Include machine serial number and transmission clutch number for traceability.
- Run calibration again. If all calibrations pass without warnings, proceed to the next step. If not, replace the valves that are not functioning correctly and repeat calibration.

19. Once all calibrations PASS successfully, without warnings, download a Data Transport file (transmission fill calibration history):
Refer to Image1.44.1 and 1.44.2.
- In ET, connect to powertrain ECM
- Click on Information > Data Transport
- Dialog box displays "The data has been successfully loaded from the ECM"
- Select [OK]
- Ensure "Calibration History" is the only box checked
- Select 'Save to File' at bottom of display screen
- The default file name should include machine name and date, and default location should be fine (c:\Program Files\Caterpillar Electronic Technician\ Downloads\Offboard Files)
- Select [Save]

20. Run the Brake Touch-up Pressure Calibration:
Refer to Images1.45.1 and 1.45.2.
- In ET, select Service > Calibrations
- Scroll down to Powertrain ECM
- Select 'Brake Touch-Up Pressure Calibrations'
- Follow on-screen prompts

21. Flash Powertrain Software:
- File name is 553-9510.fl2
22. Download Product Status Report (PSR) with all histograms.
23. Compile and Submit Documentation:
- Give completed checklist shown in Image1.48.1, both Product Status Reports (PSRs), and Data Transport File to your Dealer Technical Communicator (TC) along with this Service Letter program number and CPI number 402755. PSRs are especially important when used to justify Clutch #1 replacement.
- Request the Dealer TC to submit the information through CPI Feedback within the Service Information Management System (SIMSi).
