Place the machine on level ground.
Lower the work tool to the ground.
Shut off the engine.
Release all hydraulic system pressure. Refer to the reference for the correct procedure to relieve any hydraulic oil pressure.

Location of the Travel Motor
Remove the cover on the inside of the track roller frame in order to access the travel motor.

Travel Motor (left side) (1) Port.
Remove the plug from port (1) .
Assemble 8T-7861 Connector with 6V-6560 O-Ring Seal onto 6V-3965 Fitting As with 3J-1907 O-Ring Seal . Install the connector in port (1) .
Attach the hose assembly with quick disconnect fittings and the digital pressure indicator onto the pressure tap.

The normal position of the adjustment screw for the brake relief valve is 18 mm (0.71 inch). Note: If the adjustment screw is turned into 14.5 mm (0.57 inch), the brake will not be active and the brake will not release. If the adjustment screw is turned into 18 mm (0.71 inch) (3) , the brake will be active and the brake is adjusted to the normal position.

Shims that are 0.5 mm (0.0197 inch) thick will change the brake release pressure by 3.6 bar (50 psi). Increasing the shims (4) by 1 mm (0.040 inch) will increase the brake release pressure by 7.3 bar (100 psi).Decreasing shims (4) by 1 mm (0.040 inch) will decrease the brake release pressure by 7.3 bar (100 psi).Note: Excessive travel of piston (5) and damage to spring (6) may result if screw (3) is adjusted out more than 18 mm (0.71 inch).
Start the engine.
Warm the hydraulic oil to normal operating temperature. Normal operating temperature is 55 5°C (130 10°F).
Turn the engine speed dial until the engine speed is 1400 RPM on the display.
Read the pressure on the pressure indicator. The pressure should read zero on the pressure indicator.

Install the stoppers in both sprocket in order to block forward movement.

Shift the hydraulic lockout control to the UNLOCKED position. All the implements will function.
Do not hold this function or any other function stalled for more than 10 seconds. Hydraulic oil is heated very rapidly when the oil is channeled through relief valves. Component damage could result.
Actuate the forward travel pedal for the left travel motor. The travel motor will be in a stalled state. Record the pressure on the pressure indicator.
Brake release pressure is adjusted by adding or removing shims in the brake release valve. Adjust to 2500 70 kPa (360 10 psi).
Shut off the engine.
Release all hydraulic system pressure. See the reference at the start of this procedure for the correct method.
Remove the hydraulic test equipment and the pressure gauge.
Reinstall the plug-in port (1) .
Reinstall the cover.
Repeat the procedure for the right travel motor.
