There is one hydraulic cylinder that is located on each side of the machine in order to lift the mixing chamber. The height of the mixing chamber can be controlled manually and the height of the mixing chamber can be controlled automatically. Located on the Auxiliary ManifoldThe valve for the rotor lift is located on the auxiliary manifold. The valves for the rotor lift cylinders and the rear steering are proportional valves. The valves are similar in design, control and operation. The valves are operated by a solenoid.Pressurized oil enters the valve. The proportional valves have a closed center. The spool is centered by springs and no oil flow will pass through the valve if the internal solenoids are energized. When the solenoid is energized, oil will flow through "Port B". When the solenoid is energized, oil will flow through "Port A". Return oil from the cylinders will return to the tank when the solenoid is energized.The valves for the rotor lift are controlled by the operator while the system is in MANUAL mode. When you are in the TRAVEL mode or the WORK mode, the proportional valve is controlled by the closed loop circuit. An electrical current is sent by the ECM to the proportional valves. The proportional valves regulate the direction and the amount of oil flow to the cylinders. The flow of oil that is sent to the cylinders is proportional to the current supply from the ECM. (1) Port (2) Ball (3) Handle (4) PortIf the machine is shut down and the rotor is in the UP position, the manual lowering valve allows the rotor to be lowered without starting the machine. The valve is a three-way, two-position, manual ball valve. The manual ball valve is located between the head and the rod ends of hydraulic lift circuit. Port (1) is connected in series with the rod end of the elevation cylinders. The port that is opposite of port (1) is plugged. Port (4) is connected in series with the head end of the elevation cylinders. After you rotate handle (3) by 90 degrees, the oil will pass through ball (2) of the valve. The oil transfers from the rod end to the head end
