purpose of testing the engine performance is the verification that the engine is in working order.
Turn off the "ENGINE DERATE" switch and the "SHUTDOWN OVERRIDE" switch.
Refer to this Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Starting the Engine" (Operation Section) for instructions on starting the engine. Start the engine.
Operate the engine at a minimum of 50% load for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Refer to this Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Stopping" (Operation Section) for instructions on starting the engine. Stop the engine.
Turn on the "ENGINE DERATE" switch and the "SHUTDOWN OVERRIDE" switch. Note: The "OVERRIDE" switch must be enabled for normal standby mode.
Return the engine to standby mode.
