Do not perform any cutter tooth replacement, service or maintenance on the rotor, rotor hood, or chain cases until steps 1 to 9 are completed.1. Disengage rotor drive.2. Set parking brake on propel system.3. Raise rotor to travel position.4. Tilt rotor chamber forward, and raise rear door.5. Reduce engine speed to low idle.6. Turn ignition "OFF" to stop engine, key engine "ON", but do not start engine.7. At the rear of the operator-side fender, move rotor service switch to "SERVICE" position. Retain toggle switch in "SERVICE" position, remove key. This locks out starter and turns rotor brake release pump on.8. Lock rotor up by engaging pin on left chain case into tang on lift cylinder.9. Secure rear door and chamber tilt in position, by attaching chain on the rear door to the receiver on the frame above it.10. Do not start engine again until all services are completed and all personnel are clear from the rotor area.11. Remove rotor lock and chamber lock chain before lowering rotor.12. Unlock horizontal level, and return rotor service switch to "OPERATE" position.13. Sound horn three times prior to starting engine.Failure to follow these instructions could allow the rotor, chamber, or door to drop resulting in serious personal injury or death.
When testing and adjusting the transmission and power train, move the machine to an area clear of obstructions, with safe exhaust ventilation for the exhausts. Sudden movement of the machine or release of oil under pressure can cause injury to persons on or near the machine. To prevent possible injury, do the procedure that follows before testing and adjusting the transmission and power train.

The fuse for the transmission control may be open.
The electrical circuit may be damaged.
The electrical system has low voltage.
The shift control switch for the rotor transmission is faulty.
The rotor is engaged in second or third gear without moving from first gear.
The transmission has a mechanical failure.
The check valve for the load piston is not closing.

Probable Cause
The oil level is low.
There is a restriction in the oil flow circuit.
The priority relief valve is not adjusted properly.
