Remove the original oil return line from the air compressor. Install a new 148-0899 Hose As (85) to the air compressor. Connect the other end of 148-0899 Hose As to 6V-9837 Swivel Tee . Refer to 29.
Fill the hydraulic tank with 154-0195 Oil .

(I) 10 mm (0.39 inch) (J) 50 mm (1.97 inch)
Install 211-9987 Film (86). Use dimension (I) and (J) in order to locate the 211-9987 Film .Note: Damage to the charge pump will occur if the engine is started without oil in the propel pump.
Use the following procedure in order to check the propel pump for oil.

Install a 4137 kPa (600 psi) gauge on test port (87) for the charge pressure.

Remove wires (88) from the fuel solenoid.
Turn the key to the START position and crank the engine. Release the key when the charge pressure is registered on the gauge.
Reconnect wires (88) to the fuel solenoid.

Use the following process in order to purge the air from the differentials.
Start the engine. Run the engine at LOW idle.Note: Perform the following procedure on the outer covers of the differentials only.
Position drain plugs (89) that are located in the covers of the outer differentials at 12 O'clock.
Remove plugs (89) from the covers.
When the oil begins to appear in the holes of the covers, install plugs (89) .
Torque plugs (89) to 13 N m (10 lb ft).
Run the engine at HIGH idle. Engage the drive system in the FORWARD position and in the REVERSE position. Check for leaks in the hydraulic system.
Stop the engine.
Install the inner tires. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR7018, "Rear Tire - Remove and Install".
Install the drive shafts.
Install the outer tires. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR7018, "Rear Tire - Remove and Install".
Lower the machine.Note: Air pockets may exist in the hydraulic system after the installation procedure. While you operate the machine, the air pockets will move out of the hydraulic system. Monitor the oil level in the hydraulic tank. If necessary, add 154-0195 Oil .
Operate the machine for 10 to 15 minutes. Check for leaks.
Check the level of the oil in the hydraulic tank. If necessary, add 154-0195 Oil .
