PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR REWORKING THE EMCP HARNESS LOCATED WITHIN THE GENERATOR PANEL ON CERTAIN XQ2000 POWER MODULES POWERED BY PM3516 ENGINES

This Program must be administered as soon as possible.When reporting the repair, use "PI10739" as the Part Number and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty ClaimDescription Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code.
Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI10739" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number,"96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
PROBLEM
The control harness for the EMCP located within the generator panel needs to be reworked on certain XQ2000 Power Modules. The existing harness has a control wire misplaced. The wiring configuration allows the unit to stop when a trip signal occurs but it does not allow the breaker to trip, this may may cause personal injury or death.

ACTION REQUIRED
Open the upper generator compartment in order to access the back of the Electronic Modular Control Panel (EMCP).
Isolate Genset before commencing any work on the unit, activate emergency stop, open Genset breaker and disconnect battery cables. Ensure health and safety requirements are adhered to at all times.
1. Disconnect the 332-8678 Harness shown in Image1 referenced by number 1.
2. Locate pin #42.
3. Remove from location #42 and reinstall in location #41.
4. Reconnect the 332-8678 Harness.
Clear generator area, reconnect batteries, and release emergency stop and clear emergency stop fault code.
5. In order to validate the rework, open the radiator access door to initiate the "common shutdown" signal which will shunt trip the breaker.
6. In order to reset the signal, close the radiator access door and then reset at the EMCP 3.
