Traveling Position on a Level Ground
To prevent tip over during travel on a level surface, raise the boom to its highest position as shown and make sure that stability is secured. In addition, set the engine speed dial to the LOW speed position and travel slowly. Perform machine travel only after getting signals from a signal man.Traveling on a Slope
* Work up and down slopes, rather than sideways. Avoid changing the direction of travel on a slope, which could result in tip over or side slipping of the machine. If you must travel on a slope, keep the hydraulic shear raised to the level 50 cm from the ground, as shown. Any operation other than traveling is prohibited because it may cause tip over.* Do not travel on a slope at the angle of 10 degrees or greater. Failure to observe this may cause tip over. On a spot where the slope angle changes, travel slowly because the sudden change of the machine gravity may cause tip over.Avoid Interference Of Hydraulic Shear
If the lower stick cylinder and the upper stick cylinder is retracted to the stroke end, the hydraulic shear may hit the boom or the machine. Perform STICK IN operation and SHEAR IN operation slowly while monitoring the clearance between the hydraulic shear ad the boom.Do Not Operate at Cylinder Stroke End
Shear operation with the hydraulic cylinder at the stroke end is prohibited because this may break the hydraulic cylinder. In particular, operation of other cylinders with the bucket cylinder at the stroke end is prohibited because doing this may break the cylinder, pins, power link, or the link, causing unexpected personal injury.Do Not Operate Using the Striking Force
Demolition work using the striking force is prohibited. This may cause failure and structural damage to the machine. In addition, flying fragments and debris may cause personal injury.Do Not Operate Using the Swing Force
Demolition work using the swing force is prohibited. This may cause failure of the front attachment. In addition, flying debris may cause personal injury.Unspecified Applications Not Acceptable
Do not allow any riders on the front attachment. Do not use the front attachment to lift the load. Failure to observe these instructions may cause serious injury due to falls, or dropping or fling objects. The Ultra High Demolition Front Attachment is intended only for hydraulic shear. Do not use it as a bucket or hammer. Such operation may cause tip over or structural damage to the machine. Do not use the Ultra High Demolition Front Attachment to jack up the machine. Doing so may cause tip over or structural damage to the machine.Transportation
For loading and unloading purposes, it is recommended to use a loading platform or loading plates. Slowly travel up or down the loading platform or loading plates to prevent tip over. Observe applicable laws and regulations for transportation. Refer to Operation Section "Transportation Information" for weight and shipping height.Disassembly and Assembly
For disassembly and assembly of the machine, consult your Caterpillar dealer to prevent accidents.Lifting Work
