Attach a suitable hoist and a suitable lifting sling to fan drive motor (20).
Use the hoist in order to install fan drive motor (20). The weight of fan drive motor (20) is 20 kg (45 lb).
Install two bolts (21) and the washers.
Turn the fan assembly over 180 degrees and place the fan assembly on wood blocks. Note: The installation of the adapter is not shown.
Thoroughly clean the taper on the shaft and the bore of the fan adapter prior to assembly.
Use Tooling (B) in order to install the adapter.

Attach a suitable hoist and lifting slings to fan (17), as shown.
Use the hoist in order to install fan (17). The weight of fan (17) is 41 kg (90 lb).
Install eight bolts (18) and the washers.

Apply sealant to the shaft threads. Install locknut (16) and the washer to fan assembly (15). The torque for the locknut is 340 40 N m (250 30 lb ft).

Install Tooling (A) to fan assembly, as shown.
Attach a suitable hoist and lifting slings to Tooling (A).
Use the hoist in order to install fan assembly (15). The weight of fan assembly (15) is 113 kg (250 lb).
Install eight bolts (14).

Install upper grill (13).
Install five bolts (12) and the washers. Tighten bolts (12) to a torque of 30 7 N m (22 5 lb ft).

Install lower grill (11).
Install five bolts (10) and the washers. Tighten bolts (10) to a torque of 30 7 N m (22 5 lb ft).

Install center fan guard assembly (9). Install seven bolts (8) and the washers. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 30 7 N m (22 5 lb ft). Repeat this procedure for the opposite side.

Connect hose assemblies (5) to fan drive motor (6).
Install clamps (7) and the bolts.

Attach a suitable hoist and lifting slings to lower grill (3), as shown.
Use the hoist in order to install lower grill (3). The weight of lower grill (3) is 36 kg (80 lb).
Install six bolts (4). Tighten bolts (4) to a torque of 30 7 N m (22 5 lb ft).

Attach a suitable hoist and lifting slings to upper grill (1), as shown.
Use the hoist in order to install upper grill (1) to the radiator guard. The weight of upper grill (1) is 39 kg (85 lb).
Install six bolts (2). Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 30 7 N m (22 5 lb ft). End By:
Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect" for the machine that is being serviced.
