Schematic Of The Rear Raise SolenoidThis diagnostic code is recorded when the ECM determines that a diagnostic code that is internal to the ECM exists. The rear raise solenoid circuit of the machine harness consists of the following components:
The energize signal is wire C708-PU (J2-7).
The return signal is wire A275-BK (J2-3). The possible causes of this diagnostic code are listed here:
The ECM is faulty. There are no serviceable parts within the ECM. The system response to this level three diagnostic code is listed below:
The diagnostic code indicator flashes.
The alarm beeps.
The readouts show the word "FAULT".
The elevation of the machine cannot be changed.
Verify The Diagnostic Code.
Turn the key start switch and the grade/slope switch to the OFF position.
Disconnect the J1 and J2 machine harness connectors from the ECM.
Clean the contacts of the J1 and J2 machine harness connectors.
Reconnect all harness connections.
Turn the key start switch and the grade/slope switch to the ON position.
Enter service mode and clear all inactive diagnostic codes.
Enter operating mode. Then, briefly operate the machine.
Enter service mode. Check whether the CID 0904 FMI 12 diagnostic code is present. The diagnostic code indicator would be FLASHING. Expected Result: The CID 0904 FMI 12 diagnostic code should not be present. The diagnostic code indicator should be OFF.Results:
OK - The diagnostic code is not present. The diagnostic code does not exist at this time. The initial diagnostic code was probably caused by a poor electrical connection or a short at one of the harness connectors that was disconnected and reconnected. Resume normal machine operation. STOP.
NOT OK - The diagnostic code is present. The diagnostic code has not been corrected. Replace the ECM. See Testing And Adjusting, "Electronic Control Module - Replace". STOP.
