Note: Before installation of the seal, pack the housing and the spherical surface of the bearing with 5P-0960 Grease Cartridge . (1) Locate the split in the outer ring of the bearing in the horizontal position, as shown. (2) Lubricate the sealing lip of two seals with the lubricant that is being sealed. Apply 4C-4032 Bearing Mount Compound to the outside surfaces. (3) Lubricate the sealing lip of two lip type seals with the lubricant that is being sealed. Apply 4C-4032 Bearing Mount Compound to the outside diameter of the metal surfaces. (4) The grease fitting must be oriented toward the outside of the machine.
