Right Hand Screed Control Box (16) Vibratory control switchThe vibratory control switches (15) and (16) are located on the operator console on the paver and the right hand control box on the screed. When either of the control switches are in the OFF position, the vibratory system will not run. The vibratory system will not run when the paver is in neutral.Circuit Flow With the Screed Attached

Schematic for the Vibratory Pump (13) Vibratory pump control valve (17) Pressure relief valve (18) Dump valve (19) Vibratory pumpThe following components are in the vibratory pump group (7) : vibratory pump (19), vibratory control valve (13), pressure relief valve (17) and dump valve (18). When either of the control switches are in the OFF position, the coil for the solenoid on pump control valve (13) is not energized. A small amount of oil flows through internal passages in the pump from the pump discharge port to the pump control valve. The majority of the oil runs through the dump valve to the return filter manifold. When the control valve (13) is not energized, a spring in the valve keeps the valve spool shifted to the left. When the spool is positioned to the left, a small amount of oil flows through the right hand passage to the pump suction port. When the control valve is open to the pump suction port, pilot oil pressure acts against dump valve (18). The pilot oil pressure causes the valve to open. The oil that flows through the dump valve returns to the return filter manifold (1). Pressure cannot reach system pressure due to the loop back to the hydraulic tank.

Schematic for the Vibratory System On the Screed (2) Screed (3) Vibratory motors (4) Vibratory control manifold (5) Quick disconnect plug for hydraulic oil return line (6) Quick disconnect plug for hydraulic oil supply lineThe pressure of the oil that flows into the vibratory control manifold (4) is not high enough to cause vibratory motors (3) to start to rotate. The oil flows through return filter manifold (1) to return oil filter (12). The oil that is leaving the return oil filter is routed through oil cooler bypass valve (8) and oil cooler (11). The oil flows from the oil cooler to the suction manifold (9) .The oil can flow in two directions. A portion of the oil can mix with the supply oil to the conveyor system. The oil that flows to the conveyor system is used as charge oil. The remaining oil is routed back to hydraulic tank (10) .Circuit Flow With the Vibratory System Turned On
